Our Campus
Located at 111 Wesley Circle in Florence, Mississippi, DCS is blessed with a beautiful and growing campus. Having moved into the former campus of Wesley College, DCS continues to expand having recently added a new Elementary building and a new athletics facility which includes the school's first on-campus football stadium. Our school has a vision to see this property used for God's glory and Christian education for years to come!
Our Story
In 2011, two local teachers, Wendi Teten and Michele Thames, felt the call of the Lord to begin Discovery Christian School. Restoration Church graciously allowed them to use church facilities and partnered with them to provide a Christ-centered education to students. After much prayer and hard work, they opened in August of 2011 with twenty-one students. The school quickly grew and within a few years it became apparent that they would need to move to a larger facility. Due to the generosity of the board of Wesley College, the Congregational Methodist denomination, and many local supporters, the school along with Restoration Church was able to purchase and move to the former campus of Wesley College.
In April of 2016, Discovery Christian School received full accreditation through MAIS and SACS. The staff is dedicated to following God's plan and purpose for the school while providing a Christ-centered education.
